Finnish Business Confidence Survey 2020 Release

2020 will remain in history as a year of dramatic change. The business landscape has shifted from the initial shock at the beginning of the pandemic outbreak to a rollercoaster of geopolitical events, making forecasts more difficult than ever. The prevailing uncertainty directly translated into this year's Finnish Business Confidence Survey with a record amount of 120 companies across China participating and providing insights on the market conditions and expectations for 2021.

The record amount of participants in the survey makes it the most comprehensive Finnish Business Confidence Survey in China to date, highlighting the importance of peer review and challenges companies face while operating in this uncertain economic situation.

The 2020 Finnish Business Confidence Survey was carried out simultaneously by Finnish Business Councils in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, and FinnCham in Hong Kong, to better understand the business environment for Finnish and Finland-related companies in Greater China.

The launch event will be hosted in cooperation with Finnish Business Council Shanghai, Nordic Match, a boutique M&A and growth advisory, and organized as a panel discussion to reflect on the results.

The panel will be moderated by Nordic Match's Klaus Björkgren, and the panelists include Metsa Group Asia President, Wangqiu Song, Kemira Senior Vice President, Nichlas Kavander, and Fastems China Sales Director, Robert Ding.
