This webinar is a part of the Greener Together: China-Nordic Dialogue on Carbon Neutrality campaign organized in collaboration with FinnCham, DCCC and the Norwegian Business Association.

One-fifth of the world's carbon emissions come from the manufacturing and production sectors. Determining a product's carbon footprint helps benchmark decarbonizations efforts but is also challenging due to a lack of data transparency. There are many ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the industrial sector, including energy efficiency, fuel switching, combined heat and power, use of renewable energy, and the more efficient use and recycling of materials.

In this episode, Mirka Ltd will present their unique and well-funded approach for the greener future, Mirka Venturi SHAPE Ecosystem. Supported by Business Finland, you will also see how governments are shouldering the greener development.

Rapid economic growth, urbanization and excessive material usage pose a significant threat of an increasing manufacturing footprint. Despite this, Mirka sees an opportunity to develop new innovative solutions to support the green transition in cooperation with the Finnish industry. The aim is to create a cross-industrial ecosystem to develop solutions for the remanufacturing and construction industries, contributing to a net carbon negative impact.

Speakers at this event are:

  • Ms. Charlotta Risku, General Manager, Innovation and Sustainability at Mirka Ltd
  • Mr. Jacob Sandelin, Managing Director, Mirka Trading Shanghai Co., Ltd
  • Mr. Marko Tiesmäki, Country Director, Business Finland
